Games like these - crafted by solo creators or small teams - have redefined what indie success looks like, capturing the hearts of millions and leaving a permanent mark on the industry.
Tark Games was founded with that same belief: that small, visionary teams can build extraordinary, systems-driven PC and console games with lasting impact.
Backed by $2.5 million in pre-seed funding, the company has closed its first investment round led by Ludus Ventures, with participation from APY Ventures and Maxis GiriĹźim.
Tark challenges the status quo of how games get funded.
While traditional VC paths remain slow and bureaucratic, and most publishers chase surface-level metrics like wishlist counts, Tark is building something different.
Its mission is to identify teams with clarity, discipline, and creative conviction early on - and support them across the entire development journey, from concept to launch and beyond.
The company is led by seasoned founders with a deep track record in both product and publishing.
İbrahim Yıldırım, an early team member at Peak Games, is best known for leading the award-winning indie titles The First Men and Overfall.
He’s joined by İlker Ergen, former CEO of InGame Group, the studio behind Zula, one of Turkey’s most successful multiplayer games.
İlker Ergen, Co-Founder of Tark Games, shared:
“There’s enormous creative potential in our region, but most teams lack access to long-term, sustainable support. We built Tark to fill that gap — a publisher that walks beside developers from production through to publishing, not just at the finish line.”
İbrahim Yıldırım, Co-Founder, added:
“Small, focused teams are creating some of the most exciting games in the world. We’re looking for developers who know what they want to build, who take their time with the craft, and who aim to leave a mark. Tark is here to support them with early funding, creative freedom, and hands-on support through every stage of development.”
İsmet Gökşen, General Partner at Ludus Ventures, commented on the investment:
“Tark fills a major gap in Turkey’s PC and console game ecosystem. They’re not just publishing games — they’re giving developers strategic guidance, production support, funding, and global visibility. We’re excited to back this team and their vision.”
